Ashland Inc. Q1 Earnings Webcast Set for 9 am EST, Jan. 26
COVINGTON, Ky., Jan. 11, 2010 (World NEWSWIRE) -- Ashland Inc. (NYSE:ASH) today announced that on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 9 a.m. EST, it will carry a live webcast of its first-quarter earnings presentation to the investment community. The image will cover results for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2009, the first caserne of Ashland's 2010 fiscal year. The company's results will be issued earlier in the day.
In turnout at the presentation will be: James J. O'Brien, chairman and chief managerial officer; Lamar M. Chambers, senior vice president and chief economic officer; and Eric N. Boni, director, investor relations.
The webcast, which will last roughly 60 minutes, will be accessible through Ashland's Investor Relations website, http://investor.ashland.com . Library aids income tax preparations
Volunteers are willing to assist taxpayers with income tax forms at the New Canaan Library on Saturdays and on Tuesday afternoons onset February 9 through April 6.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is sponsored by the New Canaan Library and the Internal Returns Service. The local program is being coordinated by Ruth Kelley, former directing executive with the Travelers Group and a CPCU. Chani Sra, a mature preparer from New Canaan, will coordinate electronic transmission of returns. Other volunteers number New Canaan’s Peggy Hooker, Hal Erichs, Paul Howes, Ellen Thompson and Joe Busak.All volunteers are completing going round training and an examination certifying them for participation in the program. Tax returns will be prearranged by computers and filed electronically (e-filing). Volunteers will employees taxpayers who are elderly, have disabilities, are non-English speaking or are in discount income brackets.
The program is intended to assist people with sample tax forms. People with business returns or complicated returns involving multiple wherewithal gains/losses, Schedule D or limited partnerships, Listing K-1, should seek assistance from professional tax accountants.
