As is all the flip one's top of late, director Jonathan Mostow has turned to the power of the internets to side with the home-video release of his latest flick, Surrogates . How did you direct your actors to have the 'surrogates' effect? What big-hearted of suggestions would you give?
When I made Terminator 3 , I learned something about directing actors to bear oneself like robots. And one of the key things I learned is that if an actor tries to frolic a robot, he or she risks playing it mechanically in a way that makes the playing uninteresting.
